Sorry can't provide any pics, but I got to ask. Are you a new owner of an RSX? Cause you seem to be asking lots of q's and you're new. If so, congrats :bigok: and welcome to our humble abode.

I'm looking at trading my Accord V6 for one. But I'm starting to hear about a lot of transmission problems related to all RSX's so I'm having 2nd thoughts.

most commonly sought-after RSX 19's ive seen... axis hagens

most of the tranny probs were just 2nd gear notchiness and grinds, havent seen too many 03 models with either though

Man, as soon as I save up enough dough, Im puttin my baby on 19 inch bronze TE-37's. That **** is gonna look sick.
Anyways, I have seen the 2nd gear grinds and stuff, its no biggy, dealer fixes it, and no u cant cause it, its just a defect in some cars, and its very bareable, not like u cant drive the car with the problem.

I've got one of the first ones and have almost 28000 miles on it, the only thing I noticed in the transmission was a slight notch between 1st and 2nd gears. Hasn't been enough of a problem to me to need to get it fixed. I think a lot of the problems that people talk about on the transmission for the car is related to inexperience, and or abusive driving techniques. This car does not need to be jammed from gear to gear, it's not going to make it any faster, I have had cars where shifting required double clutching because there were no synchronizers in the transmission. Also people need to get used to the cable shift mechanism, it's not solid rods.

Ok, I see so even if there is something wrong its a very small problem? Jens RSX-S hasn't had any problems to date, but then again it only has 4k miles. We'll see.
