Default auto to manual

hey does anybody know a good shop for auto to manual swap in the pa oh ny area? the best price i could find around erie was like $2500 to $3000! way to much. i'd be willing to drive as far as MD or NJ. what exactly do i need? i've been told it's not just swap the tranny & call it a day. i hear you have to replace the axels too?!
also which tranny would you recomend that i get? the gsr? what is an itr tranny? i have a 95 LS auto that i'm planning on doing some hp to. not too crazy, under 300 HP.
p.s. not to sound ricey but the click click you hear on some cars when they shift in the inside like in fast & furious, what does that?

I don't know WTF you're talking about, about the "click click".
In any case, stick with the auto and call it a day. It will cost you a buttload to transfer it to a manual and it's not really worth it.

You're better off building up the engine and doing tranny upgrades and making a faster automatic car.

Either that, or go buy a new car.
I s'pose you could find the tranny (if you're planning to boost, stick with an LS tranny, if you are going NA, go with an ITR tranny) in a junkyard and then provide the parts to the shop, that should cut costs a little, but not much.

I did mine ..... had more problem after the swap
it's better you sell your car and get a stick

by the way, you do NOT need the axels
whoever tell you that is bull s h i ting you... he just wants you to pay more that's all.. like 200~400 bux for that thing.
I am figured that you are going turbo after or maybe super charge. LONGER Gearing is better for boost.... so get LS/SE/RS/GS NOn-Vtec one's instead of getting shorter gearing B16, GSR, Type R. besides LS tranny is way cheaper.

I am not going to reply this thread anymore.... please do some search next time...

since you have a 95 OBD1 you shouldn't have problem other than fixing Cruise contorl. By the way, you do not need a 5 speed ECU your auto OBD1 will work just fine.
I have OBD2V2 so that's why i said i met problems but so far i fixed it all... just takes time and Cash$$

Sigh~~ thought that i said not going to reply and stuff....
I am just too nice -_-|||

ITR swap isn't worth it. Too much money, not enough power.
