H22a
Sorry to keep bothering with this question. In my 90 Accord ex, I have the F22 right? I found a website that sells the H22a for $2250 for the engine, ecu, and trans. What else would be necessary to complete the swap? I'm talking brackets, mounts, axles, and whatnot. Thanks.

If im not mistaken, the h22a bolts right into the 90-93 accords with little or no modifcations.
The modifcations are mostly to the wiring harness.
So, the way I see it, jdm sells the h22 for 2300 with a 5 speed ( a must for me!!). That comes with everything to make the swap? I mean everything? What mods to the wiring harness are you talking about? Thanks.
I believe that a transmission mount requires some minor work in the h22a -> 4th gen swap...
There is some great specific information as TJCCARDO mentioned at h22a.org about your swap..
You should think about getting a larger bore exhaust system too - and the usual intake and headers. The stock accord exhaust system is a bit restrictive...
Good luck.. let us know how it goes.

it drops right in...ONCE you have tapped the extra hole out. the accord and prelude tranny mounts bolt up in slightly different places...so you have to tap the hole that is threadless to fit.
anyway you use accord axles, accord mounts all the way around, and then modify the accord harness. harness mods are:
changing the egr plug and oil pressure sensor connection, adding knock sensor, IAB, VTP and VTS wiring.
everything else just bolts up normally.

Thanks. You guys hit the nail on the head. One more question though. The H22a from jdmclub is a used engine. Are they usually in real good shape, or do they usually need a good overhaul? I mean like rings, mains, and rodbearings. Well I lied, I have yet, one more. Do the axles come with this kit from jdmclub too? Some say the accord axles can be used, some say use the prelude axles. If the prelude axles come with it, I won't get the new axles for the accord I was going to buy. Thanks a bunch.
