You might be able to tighten two exhaust manifold nuts against each other to get it out. The stud itself is pretty cheap, as was pointed out in the other thread.

 

You might regret paying someone to fix it, because it's a touchy thing. Exhaust manifold bolts go through a lot of heat and could be really stuck in there, which means that if the shop was smart they would take a lot of percaution in drilling it out. For one the bolt may not come out and they may have to drill the hole bigger then helicoil it. I would recommend really being very careful and soak it in wd40 for about an hour then try a reverse drill bit to see if that will possible pull it out, Maybe something like 1/4" if that doesn't get it out drill the same hole you tryed to use the reverseable bit on a little deeper then use a 1/4" easy out, but be very careful if that breaks your drilling the hole thing out and helicoiling it. If you don't have any expereincing drilling and tapping threads it may be safer to go to a shop though but like I said no matter how much experience you have it's always a risky job drilling out a broken bolt in an engine.
