Default Problem with B16A???

Well guys I have to get your professional thoughts about this. A friend of mine did a B16a swap in his 89 CRX Si and he can't seem to get it to run right cause it got problems like 1) idling too high 2) its throwing codes 3,5,7 and 3) when he floors it while driving VTEC doesn't kicks in. He says he replaced the TPS sensor. I've been helping him all day and can't figure out whats going on. Can any of you guys help out?

so your having problems with tps and map. No vtec of course. swap the plugs around. codes shown are that theres an open circuit. so make sure your tps, iacv and map are all the correct plugs for where they are.

did you adjust your idle (air) control valve? or something like that? my b16 did the same thing. i would start it and it would rev up really high. all you have to do to fix it is turn the screw counter clockwise. its located on the throttle body. its a really shallow screw so be careful. hope that helps.

The plugs are where they're supposed to be and the throttle screw I've turned it counter-clockwise and it changes a little bit, but the rev idle is still a little high.
