Default tire question

I have a 1997 Accord SE and a set of tires that are 65r15/205. The tires on my vehicle are 65r15/185. The manual says the 205 tires will fit on the v6 accord but not the SE. Is this true or will the 205s fit on my SE? Thanks in advance.

remeber the wider the tire, the lower the profile. If you have 185/65/15, im positive that 185 is a little too thin for an accord. 205 shouldnt rub unless you buy the wrong tire.

lets say the tires you have now 185/65/15 came with the car. If you want 205 (wider tires) you need the tire 205/60/15 for proper rotation.
