I have a B16a2 in my eg6 civic and the coil looks like it is dead.
what other dizzys fit it or what coils will fit my dizzy?

im pretty desperate so thanks for any help!

btw I think its a TD44u and obd1

 

Any OBD1 B-series vtec distributor would be a bolt on affair. OBD2 distributors will require rewiring and non-vtec distributors don't line up correctly with the bolt holes.

Personally, I would just replace the coil. I don't know what other coils will work in that distributor (I would imagine all B-series coils would be interchangeable, though) but a cross reference of part numbers could help answer that question.

 

yeh I will just cross reference the part no.s to see what coils will fit.

just wanted to check incase somebody knew that the d series coils wer different before I go collect this one and strip it all down. thanks

 

all B series coils are cross platform.

 

i had a d16z6 dizzy crap out on me i just used all the guts from a 98 integra gsr dizzy...that worked great for me and fast instead of lookin for a new dizzy

 

Yeh thanks for that help, the dizzy from a b18c4 had the same coil.

Replaced that and it worked a treat
