Default What would you pay for an EG with a K20?

I'm looking at buying a real clean hatch with a k20a professionally installed. It has a lot of JDM extras and nick nacks like carbon fiber lip, spoiler and hood, and recaro itr seats and whatnot. He's asking $11,500 and I'm trying to decide if it's worth it. Thanks in advance for any opinion.

No it is definitely not worth it...

Yeah a K20 is a good motor, but you can get similiar performance with a B-series or even better performance give or take with an H22 for FAR less money...

Don't get me wrong it would be great to have a K20 swap in an EG, but it would really be a waste of money. You could buy a hatch with an H22 or even an ITR motor already in it for prob half of what he's asking...
Unless you have tons of money to throw around or really have to have it, fine, but in the end you will still be left with a 12+ year old car...

Don't do it!!

That is way more than I would pay for any 5th gen civic regardless of what motor it has, but it is close to what you would have to pay if you were to buy an EG and have a K20 professionally swapped in.

It is a twelve year old car, but a stock k20a2 will put a b18c5 or h22 to shame.

a nice, clean EG could cost as much as 3K, plus about 6K for the K20, throw in the recaro seats, CF lip, CF hood, that adds up to about 10K, Another G for the pro intall, and it all comes down to the question of whether you would spend the money on hooking-up a Civic and swapping in a K20. If you would, bargain it down as much as possible and buy it. I personally would not.
