Hi guys, i brought the wrong NGK Iridium spark plug model for my Honda civic EK SiR B-series model.

Will i damage the engine or cause any problems to it?
After i had changed, i kinda smell some sort of buring smell inside my car.
I'm quite worried is it the cause of wrong model of spark plug i brought?

I brought ZFR6FIX-11 instead of BKR6E-N-11..

 

dont worry about it. just make sure the gap is correct.

 

If you bought completely the wrong type/size/etc of spark plug you could completely destroy the engine, you'd shatter the plug with the piston and the bits would go everyplace.


If you just have the wrong line of plug, it's not a big deal.

 

I dun understand wad u mean by the gap is correct.
Which gap u mean?

The proper plug gap should be .044" on that motor.

 

actually dont even worry about the gap. those are already pre-gapped to .044"

you can tell by the 11 in the part number. that means it's gapped to 1.1mm = .044"

i just put the bkr6e-11 in my b18c1 with no problems

 

Ok. I kinda understood wad u mentioned.

But i'm really worried the burnt smell after when i removed the spark cable.

I think i better dun save tat bit of $ rather having major problems in future..
