Default Swap 1986 D15A3 Si for B16B Type-R

I'd like to swap my original 1986 Civic Si D15A3 for a newer B16A1, but is it possible keep my ice cold A/C unit, and new radiator in the process? And is the B16A1 the best choice for swapping in this Si Civic? I need more merging power when getting on the freeways here in Cali.

you're gonna be fighting an uphill battle the entire time. you'll need to convert to obd0 or obd1. you'll need to convert to mpfi if it's not already. it's not gonna be easy.

Default D15A3 to B16A Engine Swap

Thanks for replying to my inquiry. I really do appreciate any, and all feedback from you very knoweldgeable experts.
I really want to upgrade the engine in my 1986 Si, because I want an old, but rare sleeper, and to anyone who would build a 1986 Si Civic, please tell me what would you do in order to make it faster, and keep the A/C?
