Need Engine Help!!
I have a 97 civi ex 1.6vtec and i just blew the motor and i want to know if anyone out there has a motor? and if someone could tell me if without changing the tranny or cpu or the wiring if i can put in a bigger engine? I heard i could put in the non vtec in but once u have one it's kinda hard to settle for less! please help me.

The motor you had was the d16y8. To upgrade the motor you have to buy trans ecu ect.. You can buy andother d16 longblock and bolt it up to your current trans.
