Default factory amp bypass

ok so my acura bit the dust, now im driving a 99 Volvo C70 turbo, i put my Alpine 12"s in it, but i kept the stock HU and just used a high to low level output for the subs. now i just bought the Alpine CDA-9856 deck, i wired it up, plugged the harness in and i got power but no sound, i was clueless so i called my friend from tweeter and he told me i had to bypass the factory amp....i dont really feel like having tweeter or best buy do it so i wanna figure out how to do it...anyone know anything? thanks

first are you using a harness. The metra-70-9220 should do the trick for you.

yea thats the harness im using but i might as well have not bought it because i had to re wire the speakers so they wern't going through the factory amp anymore and they were just coming straight from the deck to the speakers, so all i really needed the harness for was the battery, remote, ground, etc. so yeah that harness doesnt work, u can get power but no sound cus the factory amp isnt compatable with an aftermarket deck
