Default Use Accord Price??

I saw this 2000 Accord Coupe EX v6 for sale..at a small local dealer where i live.
Options include: leather interior, and all standard options. Milages on the car is 149,934..and the car appear to be in good condition..with no rust at all..but with minor dents..about 4 or 5..and the guy want it for $7999..Is this worth it..cuz in the Kbb and NADA..its still price a 10,000.

I live in wisconsin

I checked an actual auction website and dealers usually purchase the same car at the auctions with similar mileage for $4000-5000. I would personally never spend 8k on a car with 150,000 miles.

I don't think I'd pay 8K for it. Does anyone know if the 2000 Accord have the auto tranny problems like the 98 and 99? If so, that's another thing to take into account. They tranny may need replacing soon if it hasn't already. I looked up a few on autotrader nationally. At 150K or anywhere close, they run 6-7K. Do some more research. I wouldn't but it unless you are totally in lovw with it (and even then.....).

the 00-01 trannys have the issue... but they also have a 7yr/100k warranty extension on the tranny. the 98-99, and 02 trannys arent as prone to failure, but they still have a risk.

i wouldnt get it. not at that price. i wouldnt trust the dealer to honor the tranny warranty with that many miles on it. they'd figure out a way to stall u till the 7 rys ran out. if it failed before they'd try and stiff u for half of the cost.

That's why I was suprised. He said his came with a manual but we were on the subject of V-6 accord. He must be talking about a 4-cyl.
