Just like the title says. Someone was saying 14.4-15.1 or some crap...I dunno though

I met a guy in Fayetteville back in April. He had just bought his Si that day. Like the only miles were from the dealership to the dragstrip. He was talking trash to my friends brother. Saying he was gonna kill his GT. The dude ran 17 something. It was embarassing.

arent you not supposed to rev above 6k RPMs when the car is brand new?

depending on who you ask. some baby it off the lot for the first few hundred miles for a "break in". other's get on it right away.

im of the thinking that you should put some load and revs on the engine for those first few miles so the rings can properly seat.

so is it bad if you rev it high when its brand new, or are you saying it pretty much doesnt matter.

some people have done one or the other and have had no problems. it's up to you which way you go about it.

Revs OK, power not so OK. Run it fairly easy, gradually increasing revs in first 500 miles. Start bringing more in power after 500 miles. Run the heck out of it after 1,000 miles. IMHO.
