rear rotors
i have a 93 accord ex i cant get my rear rotors off bc of these 2 little screws r striped i have been beating the shit out of them and cant get them off anyone have any ideas
screw u both those screws dont need to be on there i was just wondering if anyone had a simple trick on how to get them off i do know what the fuck i am doing i probly know more than u i got it all done they work fine
first off... you calm the hell down buddy. we make a suggestion and you throw a little fit over it. and theres no simple tricks in brake jobs. its called an impact screwdriver, and now that you "beat the shit out of the screw," thats probably useless. good job.
The simple trick is bolting your wheel back on and driving to the dealership if you don't know what to do. If you did know "what the fuck you were doing" you'd know what to do, wouldn't you? You'll probably need a lot of heat, a lot of torque, and a lot more common sense than you seem to have. And the purpose of them is to hold the rotor on when the wheel is off, otherwise it just falls off.
u dont need the screw when the wheels r on this i know just they were shity and were striped and just wanted to know if anyone had a suggestion like drill them out or chisel it off or something i am not gonna bring my car to the dealer for a brake job
You could always get a tough drill bit and drill them out. I had to use a die-grinder to get the axle bolt off my driveshaft when I changed it on my '93 Accord. Some of those old bolts are on so damn tight and have been there so long I swear they have actually formed chemical bonds and become "One" metal together.
Anyway, just make sure not to screw anything up, like drilling too far and jacking up your hub. And for future jobs, get an impact screwdriver. It might be too late now if you have stripped the turd out of them.

I've drilled one out before. If you know how to do it, do it :dunno:
