If the amp is central somewhere, most lilkely you should be able to feed it signal. If they're on each speaker, you're out of luck most of the time.

there should be a harness out there to plug an aftermarket stereo right into the factory amp wiring

I have done a few bose systems on older nissans. If each speaker has its own amp, you can reuse some of the wires. There are two wires used for signal which run to the radio harness. The other two are power wires for the amp and are usually thicker. You can reuse the signal wires along with a standard radio harness. I have a feeling its like this. The best thing to do is pull out a speaker and see how many wires run into it and if there is an amp on it.

do you have the bose(base or l) or bose premium(ls,gs,le)?

iirc... the premium system has a central amp behind the rear seat wired to 2 ohm speakers... the amp can be bypassed, but the 2ohm speakers may can issues with your new head unit.

the standard system has no amp and can be swapped out easily.
