Default (WIREING) Radio not playing but gets power

Ok my Dual cd player just one day stop working it has a power face and when I push the button to open it comes open with no problem but it will not turn on so I figured it might be the cd player so I Ttried it in my girlfriends car and it works so I checked all the fuses in my car and on the radio but still nothing so I think I might need to rewire my car with a new blk ground and yellow 12v wire does anyone know if this a easy job or should I got to a pro I have a 93 4dr hond civic.

are you using one of those harnesses that allow you to connect it to your factory radio?

yellow is 12v, red is ignition.......
might have the wrong wires connected. If it was the ground I dont think anything would work.

i would try double checking all the wires and making sure everything is A OK.. haha.. use a digital multimeter and test all the wires.. if everything is good, then maybe get something better than a DUAL deck..

I have a better deck already I just dont want to install it to just yet because I am getting the Interior redone so I am just going to wait but I have already checked it with a multimeter and from the lil bit I know everthing is getting what it needs so I think I am just going to take it to a pro and have them rewire it so that I dont have any problems once the t.v./dvd player and EQ are installed there are no new issues thank guys.

hes saying that the switched ignition 12v wire (should be yellow/red) that goes to the deck is disconnected.. with the multimeter, test the voltage with key in the off position. it should read 0 volts. then switch key to on position. it should read 12-14volts. that is what he means by switched 12 volt.

There's your first problem. Dual radio's are pieces of garbage, plain and simple. Next step, using the Multimeter actually test the wires and tell us what it says. Moving on, if the radio opens it's getting 12V. Do you have your factory radio?? Give that a try and see if you get sound.

12v constant = yellow
ignition = red
