Default D16Y8 on JDM EG6 Questions and Doubts

Hey all.

I have a Japanese EG6 with a crappy D15 engine on it, the car is perhaps, seriously slow,
I got a very clean D16Y8 from a friend's US spec 4Door EX (he decided to go the B20Z/VTEC way, lucky bastard) for a VERY cheap price, including a auto tranny, and ECU (about 300 US total).

I dont wanna race the car very often but I still want more power while keeping reliability and also due to some reasons (dont ask) I gotta keep the Auto tranny, A/C and keep a low engine noise.
I wanna make high 15's or Low 16's on that engine.. is possible to achive that while keeping the auto tranny?

I plan on:

2.0-2.5' piping
Headers
Nice Intake
Good Tires
Better ECU
Variable Cam

Anything else I can do? I dont think Turbo is worth it since Honda's trannys hate more power, is it better to go for a Auto LS engine?

Thanks In advance!! (also I dont live in the states so I dont have to put up with regulations so be free to say whatever )

the d16y7 and y8 are both good swaps try to use as many bolt on parts as you can...you dont need a turbo for 15's...

You definitly don't need a turbo on a 15. streetcreations is right. Just get as many bolt on parts as you can. Those plans you got are good.

How can that be? Thought EG6's come with a b16 already in them?
Or are you just calling it an "EG6"?
