Anyone worked w/ Nagios?
Actually yes I did try it out and have it running for a while. Just a simple setup to ping, every 5 mins, every host on my network and accross my VPN. I had it running for months without problem.
However I never had a system down durring the time so I never really saw what happened when a system is down for a while.
It had the ability to do A LOT more than I ever used it for. And I stopped using it when apt-get updated it one day to a version 2 and lost all my config that I had spent days getting right. I was just so frustrated I stoped using it. But while I was using it, it was pretty damn cool.

In the end, i'll have about 10,000 checks running, so i'll probably have a few servers running it...well, atleast one on each of the clusters i monitor.
