Default Whats wrong with the H23

Has anyone ever swapped an H23 into there car? I think it uses the same mounts as an H22 (correct me if im wrong), and so many companys are making motor mounts for h22's now so it couldn't be to hard of a swap.

Im not sure how much heavier/lighter they are than a H22, but an H22 is only like 40lbs more than a B18 right?

Im just asking cause 160hp and 156ft lbs. of torque sound pretty damn good for an engine you can get for less than $1000 with the transmission, ecu, harness, and all.

And I know there easier to turbo than a H22 (if you could find room in a lil' civic engine bay), looking at the spec's and all that torque i think it'd be a better bang for your buck than any other engine out there.

Not even close to being as good of a swap as the H22A. Might as well do that swap instead of the H23.

I personally recommend staying away from H series motors, especially if you plan to boost it.

i was just saying because its such a cheap motor, and with 160hp and 156ft lbs., seems like it'd be as quick as a b16, maybe quicker from 0-60

Probably, but it is not an easy swap. It has been done before. But before I continue on, I should just say that you should search this topic on the forum and you will find info that will answer your questions. (Since it has been talked about so often.)

You must not enjoy making power.
