Brakes droping?
Ok Iv had problems with the brakes on my 92 civic dx for a while. I need to get them fixed so I can sell the car. Iv replaced both front and rear pads along with the master cylinder twice. I get them all bled, then they are fine. I drive it for about 5 miles. I park it and come back out and they drop to the floor. Today I repeated this process of bleeding them for about the 40th time, drove it, came home and when I pulled in my drive way they droped. Any Ideas? Could it be the booster? Iv replaced everyhting else. What about the line coming from the booster? Mabe its a drirotted peace of brake line letting air get in when I let the car sit? I'm getting realy tired of this car. I have 3 other honda's and a cuple of other cars and Iv never had any problem like this. Iv had a cuple of people look at it and they cant figure out anything. HELP!!!

yeah i was wondering the same thing, i replaced my rear brake calipers and pads, because i thought my master cylinder wasnt working, yet even after hooking em all up, and bleeding the brakes 80 times, they still wont engage.
i might try new rotors as well but mine seem fine and my brakes still drop

Hrm. Sounds like the brake booster. But have you check the reservoir since you did the flush? Sometimes after a flush the brake reservoir will need some extra filling. If it gets low it will suck in air.

just thought i would jump i here.....please dont get offended but the only reason i ask what i am going to ask....is my friend had this problem....a minor pedal and then suddenly drops after a little bit of driving after doing his brakes. all in all....he claims he bleed the brakes about 40 times. with no results. i bled his brakes and all his problems went away....he claims he did bleed the smae as what i did....but he couldnt have.
this is how i bleed his brakes.......there are diffrent ways...like gravity or vaccuum bleed....but i will be specific o how i did it.
have two people.....one person will pump the brakes...maybe 6 times.......then on the 6th time....the person in the car will hold the pedal halfway down. the other person will loosen the bleeder screw....and tighten real quick. the pedal should go down a little bit but it is wise to not let the pedal hit the floor. (for not wrecking your master cylinder purposes...its in the ase handbook) after the screw is tightened.....repeat the pumping of the pedal 6 more times.....and so forth. each caliper should be bleed at least 5 times or so. when you start getting a stream of fluid....that caliper should be good to go. ont to the next caliper. a general rule is to work from the farthest caliper from the master cylinder. so rr first...lr second....rf third...lf fourth. some cars req a reverse order so that is why i say general rule. if you get any squirting of fluid from the caliper.....that means there is still air there. keep bleeding until no squirting is present. remeber to check master cylinder often as to not "suck" in more air.
since you just did your brakes...i would rule out your faulty brake booster......it was fine before right? yes. good luck....and sorry to be so specific and i dont mean to sound like a know it all or to make you sound like you dont know how to bleed your brakes. keep us informed what goes on
