Default Braking issue

Hi all, my car pulls to the left when braking, doesn't matter if lightly or hard. The brakes are new, maybe two weeks at most. So I have to break them in or are my front disks warped? They are little rusty, not solid rust just the color. Should I be worrying about this too much, b/c it pulls very noticeably, I have to counter steer to the right to keep the car going straight. Very disturbing when going into a turn and applying the brakes. Any input appreciated.

Oh, and the car is '00 Si.

Any idea what it might be? How worn are your disks? I have two theories: brakes not worn in or disks are warped, at least the left one. Speaking of warping, how can one tell if the disk is warped?

May be your alignment is off, or your tire pressure.

Hmmm, you may be right. Although on a straight road I let go off of the steering wheel and it didn't turn in any way. The car did have an alignment done before I bought it. The tire pressure might be the reason it is pulling to the left during the breaking. I'll check tomorrow, just need to find the pressure meter. Thanks for the tip.

you may have a poorly functioning caliper. what you may want to do is a lube on the pistions with some high temp silicon lubricant (autozone) and do a quick resurface on the pads and disks with some medium grit sand paper. dont forget to clean everything afterward with brake cleaner to get all the grit out. if that dosn't work than you may have to replace that caliper. on your last break set did you have thumping on one side?

I recently bought the car and I didn't change the breakes, they were put on when I got it. If that will not go away, I will go back to the guy and have him take care of that for me, he gave me a month warranty.

the piston in the caliper might not be pushing the pads efficiently.. and i never heard of using sand paper on disk.... pads yes.. but not disks.. and ive been in automotive classes for two years? maybe ileanred something new!. but yeah try that.. or maybe brake lines are leaking or something
