I would personally say it somethign with the front alignment. If it's going straight while driving but pulling to the left or right under braking it means something is not right with the front since alll weight is transferred to the front tires.

yeah, i only meant pads. srry bout that. dont touch the disk with the sand paper, just the pads (and only lightly sand)

I would check the calipers. see if the piston boots are still intact. if they are torn at all the caliper is probably on its way to seizing up.
