Default battery saftey..

edit: safety h:

can anyone go over the correct steps that should be followed to disconnect the battery, connect a power wire and then connect an amp? i just never know the correct way to do it.

Disconnect the ground on the battery.
Connect the fused power wire to the battery.
Connect the ground wire to the amp.
Connect the ground on the battery.

connect the power wire from the battery to the amp before the ground to the amp? then the amp ground, then the battery ground?

I always connect the ground to the amp then the fused, ( fuse removed from holder) power wire to the amp then reconnect the ground to the battery and dbl check all the connections at the amp, then i place the fuse back in the holder, Kinda habit, and its my way but it works and i have necer accidently popped an amp during installation or removele (sp)

lol make sure u don't have a cap hooked up and charged on the other end of your pos wire It really hurts if ya do and u put it on the frame.
