How many miles are on the car? If there is a lot, I would just change them along with the spark plugs.

measure the resistance on the wires, and see if they're within spec. or, just buy NGK blues and call it a day.. :dunno:

Plug wires are real easy. Just pull them out of the motor and from the distributor, then put the new ones on. You NEED to do them one at a time so you don't mix them up if this is your first time doing this. If you do mix them up, the firing order will be off. Don't worry, do one at a time and you should be fine.

As for the spark plugs, should you decide to do them at the same time, you need a spark plug socket and a extension with a ratchet. You might want to get a torque wrench(you can rent these for free from Autozone I believe) so when you tighten them up, you will be in spec(the torque spec is in your owners manual). If you over tighten, you can snap the plug in half and if you don't tighten enough, you will loose compression and possibily have the spark plug shoot out! Again, just work on one plug wire and one plug at a time and you should be fine. If you have any questions, just post them back up! Also, get some high temp anti sieze and coat the threads on the new plugs with it. And be careful when removing old plugs because they can snap off if they have been there for a long time.

Do you have an LS or GSR? I believe if you run plantinum plugs you don't need to gap.

the plugs should come pre-gapped. verify that with whoever you buy from.

Never assume that, though. Just make sure and check before you put them in the motor.
