GSR tranny stuck in gear

I found this guy who's selling a gsr tranny for $100, but its stuck in gear... What can be wrong here? Is there a lot of damage? and is it worth $100?

If you don't mind fully rebuilding it, $100 is a steal. A professional rebuild might cost more than a non-grinding tranny in good shape would.

No, i got a friend that knows his way around a tranny... but what could be wrong if its stuck? Thanx schmoo
