get a Haynes or Helms manual. It tells how to do all.

Pic doesn't work. Need pic first.

Are you sure the distributor is the problem? When was a tuneup of the basics last done?

If you want to change the distributor, you're going to need a timing light to accurately set the timing. The actual distributor change is easy...3 12mm bolts and a harness clip.

If you were closer, I could do it for you. I just changed the dizzy in my 92 RS. 3 bolts, line up the dizzy, bolt it in, done.

you dont need a timing light. you are not moving it that much so you can just try to get as close as you can. i just did a few weeks ago and had no problems and have done it before. you mark what cables go to which on the distributer, so when you put it back together you dont put cylinder 1 into cylinder 4 and what not. then you take off three bolts slap the new one on there and bolt it back up if you can find a way to match up where the last one was sitting then your in great shape. then you hook up all the cables and your done. simple fix. and i have done that several times and not messed up the timing.

Not moving it that much? It's a complete distributor replacement. Do you know how much movement it takes to change the timing a lot? Not very much.
