What is the STANDARD sleeve size on a b18 block? This guy has them at 84mm, is that standard or oversize??

That is not a standard size. The standard size is 81mm, so that is a 2.0L if you use the GSR crank. Unless it is sleeved, I would stay away from it, though. Stock sleeves bored that much will crack.

Thanx Schmoo, you've been very helpful . Oh and can you tell me if ACL rod/ main bearings are good? This guy is selling a whole set main, rod and including thrustwashers for $75.

Yes, they are good. A lot of builders use those. Either use those or OEM for the best results.

Also make sure you plastiguage the clearances.

You get a smaller bearing. I don't know how the ACL bearings work since all clearances are usually different.

Crap, thats gonna suck since i just bought the ACL's. Can i just shave the bearing?
And you know when you do a valve adjustment, does the head need to be on the block, because myne isn't and it seems it would be a whole lot easier to do it now before i put the LS-vtec together.

No, you can't shave the bearings...unless you want to spin one as soon as the car is started.

Yes, you can do a valve adjustment with the head not on the car. Just make sure the cams are bolted in securely and you know which cylinder you are adjusting.
