Default strange squeak

For about the past week, I've been hearing a strange squeaking noise coming from the engine bay when the car is running. I don't think it's a loose belt but I'm not sure what else it could possibly be? I know this is a pretty vague description but I don't know what else to say about it. It's getting really annoying.

get a video/audio clip for us... have it idling... and then rev it to 3-4 and then back down... it would give us a better way to respond

i'll see what i can do about the a/v clip...but as for the noise in general, could possibly be an exhaust leak, like at the header or nearby? I donno, just a shot in the dark. From what I can tell, the noise isn't really constant. I hear it sometimes more than others, like especially when the idle dips too low.

An exhaust leak wouldn't squeak. Check all your accessory belts....alt/ps/ac.

i had this sqeak, which sounds like a pulley spinning. It goes away when i step on the clutch though.

I found this thread while searching for answers to my own sqeak. Mine sounds like a cricket chirping but very fast...specifically whatever speed the engine is going. I've had my head under the hood a couple of times and pinned it down to the general area of the drive belts. One of said belts feels rubbery and generally good, the other feels hard and rough like sandpaper. I have to believe that it's the hardened belt, and there's probably a particularly bad patch somewhere on its length that causes the rhythm. It's that or bearings being tosted somewhere, but either way that belt is going away this weekend.

I think I've narrowed my problem down. I'm pretty sure my squeak is actually from my exhaust manifold. I think somewhere along the header there is a gap, possibly between the header and A pipe, which is causing the exhaust to rattle and squeak. Any ideas on how to fix this?
