Default Seafoam...

I keep hearing about this "Seafoam" stuff that you run through the engine and it supposedly yields pretty amazing results. I am interested in using some in my '94 teg but I was just wondering if someone could clearly explain how to use it. The last thing I want is to ruin my motor or anything else by putting the stuff in wrong.

I used it a while ago,it worked great. I believe that the can says you can pour it in your crank casing, im not sure of exactly how much, check on the can.

I use Honda Top End Cleaner. My bf is the one that puts it in through. It's sort of unsettling to watch. Do a google search, I know that there have been many writeups on how to use these engine cleaners.

Here's the writeup from Sea-Foam.

I've always been wary of the PCV method.
Introducing any fluid into the intake manifold is a little too risky IMO. :noes:

I've used Berryman's C-12 Chemtool to great effect with all the cars I've owned. With the DC4, I add two-thirds of a can to the petrol tank just before a complete fill-up. Later, right before I change the oil, I follow their instructions for use a crankcase detergent. With C-12, it is imperative that you change the oil immediately after a crankcase treatment.

dumb question...but how do you add it to the integra's crankcase? just put it in where you add oil? Also, I'm still not sure how exactly you sucked it into the intake...

add it in just like u would oil...and as for the intake just use a vaccuum line off of the intake and stick it in the can....sucks it right up. kills the motor, let sit for like 15 minutes...then start the car and watch it smoke like a bitch
