Default Which Intake manifold?

I've searched the forums but couldnt find an answer to the following:

As part of my build I was thinking of getting an AEM V2 induction and VENOM inlet manifold, but I have been advised that this is a bad idea as the two dont go well together.

Hence.. I have been told that:
The venom inlet manifold will make most power between 6000-8000 rpm
The v2 will make most power between 3000-4000 rpm

Is this true?

I have also been advised that for top end power you would be looking at :
a 4 to 1 exhaust manfold
cold air intake
inlet manifold with short fatter runners (skunk2 ect)

for midrange power you would be looking at :
a 4-2- 1 exhaust manfold
short ram intake
inlet manifold with longer runners (ported stock manifold)

If this is true which would be more suited to VTEC?

Many thanks.

for V-TEC anything with a power range from 5500 to 8000! that is for mine anyways! my V-TEC engages around 5600! it is controlled by a MSD RPM activated switch

But wouldnt you want to increase power in the midrange to give it some oomph before VTEC?

P.S. it's a JDM 4th-Gen Prelude 2.2 VTEC
