Default New Brakes

Just bought brake pads from Honda dealer that I'm about to install. They came with a little plastic bag filled with liquid-like material. It's dark grey. What are they for ? And where should I apply it ?

no...it goes on the connecting points where the pads and caliper bracket are. you can use it on the back of the pad but i would focus more of it on the connecting points so that your pads wont stick to the brcket causing premature wear.

Default hi temp grease

will hi temp grease work for this app? I put on new pads and rotors and the brakes are pulsing when braking? Should new rotors be machined?

no...high-temp grease is not to be used on brakes. anti-seize would be the next best thing...

try snading down the rust on the hub where the rotor is supposed to sit flush. sometimes rust is there....just grab some rough snadpaper....wire wheel...whatver. this sounds like your problem

not nec. or req. to machine new rotors...they already are...and are done a lot better then machining could do.. new rotors are machined by an orbital turning process...whereas your local shop down the road...does a spiral outward design. the spiral outward design acts as sandpaper against a pad (very small diffrence though)
