Default need some help *pics*

1. how exactly does the slave cylinder get pieced back together

does the small piece go into the cylinder pointed end first? if anyone would show me a pic of the slave cylinder completed without the rubber boot on i would prolly go down on you

2. my axles aren't going in all of the way. would putting the wheel back on give some extra push to help get it in? any methods you found useful?

3. can someone take a pic of your clutch hard lines and how they sit. i can't get mine to sit right. thanks!

you should PM westcoaststyle.. he did an awesome write up in DIY forum.. i think what you did with the axle is what he refers to as "a world of hurts!".

yea i was using his write-up to do my clutch. the 'world of hurt' was pulling the axel out of the cv joint. and i know i didn't do that . i read in another thread a while back about someone having the same problem  but i just can't find it. thanks.

I used to put the axle in as far as you got it then constatly just use force on the part that goes into the tranny. Never push or pull on the shaft itself. But after that I figured out that getting it in that far then using force while rotating the axle makes it go in easy as hell. I can lift the car up and take both axles out within 15 minutes. Getting the new axles on has always been a bitch untill I started using the rotating method. As for the slave cylinder, you can easily put it back together. The tip goes in and the pin in the boot fits in the concave part.

so you're saying hold the black part (in my case rust brown) and rotate the axel while pushing it in? i tried that and it still isn't going in is it easier if you jack up the rotors to keep the axle straight?

you can put pressure on the outer end of the axles, so they are fully compressed, then take a sledge and give slight taps on the end and it will pop in.

This will not ruin anything as long as you keep the pressure on the shaft so its compressed and as long as you don't smack the axle, just tap it
