Default Replacement center muffler?

Or resonator question. For my 92 Civic LX dr manual not cali car. I ordered a Bosal replacement center exhaust and got one with a flat metal strap with two holes welded on where the front rubber hangers go. It's supposed to just have the metal rods that slide into the donut holes (like every other hanger on the car).
Anyone seen this type of hanger and know what the hell it's for? I sent it back, but if the same type comes again, I'd like to know what is supposed to be used there, instead of just rigging it. Of course I can't find any other type of rubber hangers than the ones I already have.
By the way, this is the third one I've had, no problem before.

Exactly, except on this one there was a flat piece of steel with a hole on each end bent around the pipe and welded on. It looks like some sort of u clamp might be used??? Although I don't see how it would hook to the body mounts. I sent the pipe back and will be getting a replacement Saturday, if it's got the same hanger I'll take a picture.

It's a good thing the pipe I have on there isn't sliding off, those donuts are holding it up-the pipe rusted through just before the muffler, I think I added about 100 HP from the sound of it.
