Default d15b vtec help

i have read on many sites that the replacement parts are very hard to find. from my understanding the d15d vtec is just the d15 block with the d16z6 heads. if i am wrong please correct me. what i need to know is, if i am replacing water pump, or idler pulley or any other external device. what if any parts are interchangable. anyone know where i can get info on the difference between the usdm and the jdm d15 motor. i appreciate all the help.

d15b parts are plentiful. I just replaced a waterpump and tension pully on my 92 civic. I'd recommend only Honda genuine parts for this. I looked at a rebuilt waterpump but it wasn't a rebuilt Honda waterpump. Also the waterpump has 2 protruding sleeves which the bolts must pass through and embeds into the block. This prevents it from moving on the block. The rebuilt one didn't have this. So I used the Honda waterpump.
