civic 1994 cv joint ripped

Default civic 1994 cv joint ripped

after cahnging my front suspension i noticed that the cv joint on the driver side had ripped some how and all grease is leaked evertywhere. were the axel conects to the part were the wheel bolt on (brake disk thing) that joint has ripped and grease leaked out. it still drives but when driving u can hear a banging sound. i took it to a mecanic and booked it in he said cv joint needs replacing but i dont know why the banging sound is coming from the driver side wheel because he told me cv joint ripped makes clicking sound when turning so why its banging. ive uploaded some pics.

They say it's supposed to "click" but it does sound like a low banging my cv-joint on my 92 prelude needs to be replaced and it sounds like its "banging" not "clicking", just get it replaced and your all good

Default cv joint ripped

the banging sound is qite loud and im confused if its the cv joint or something to do with suspension. every thing on suspension seems tight. thanks
