Default Help 2000 Si

Ok, i'm pretty sure this is a belt problem, even though all the belts where canged about 6 months ago. The other day i was driving up a slight hill after just starting the car and after i put it into 2nd, the car felt as if it was going at 1/2 power, plus the check engine light was flashing and flickering, then it felt as if full power just clicked on, and the check engine light went away. Then that night I started the car and took off and while pulling out of first i heard a high pitch squeeling. Mayby this has to do with me cleaing the engine while it was still hot a couple days before, or the fact taht my hood doesnt have a good seal and its been raining alot here in GA?? Stupid me i no, but i was pressed for time and had already cleaned the rest of the car, so why not finish!

Right, the only problem is that the chech engine light never stays on, and yesterday the problem didnt even happen once and no check engine light all day, so i dunno, its gotta be the belts.

Check engine light doesn't have to be on to pull the codes.

Default clutch

Ok, took it to advance auto parts and got my codes read. Turns out it is an ignition problem, could be my new ngk plugs or wires....Then i took it to a mechanic and he tested all my belts and they are perfectly fine. He says its my clutch going out. Really hope its not clutch, im going to try flushing transmission.

flushing your transmission will have no effect on the performance of your clutch. youll just have to replace it it has nothing to do with the integrity of the acctual trans.
