Help me out HAN
Alright, about 2 months ago my tranny and clutch took a shit on me. SO I bought a stage 3 6 puck clutch from LSD motorsports (great company, and alot of people on Homemadeturbo.com love the clutches) I also installed a 7lb fidanza flywheel. I used a JDM d15b tranny to replace my dead z6 tranny. Ever sence my brother has brought the car home sence he installed this stuff it hasnt worked right. First the clutch pressure doesnt seem to be what it should be. We figured it was due to a leaking master and slave cylinder, so both were replaced. This didnt help clutch pressure so we figured it needed a better means of bleeding. While my bro used his pnumatic bleeder (or however thats spelled) at the dealer and the clutch STILL doesnt feel as hard as it should. The next big issue is 3rd and 4th will grind if i shift in boost unless i push the clutch all the way in, wait a second, then shift. Also, its not doing it as much as it did, but the clutch is occasionaly slipping, which it shouldnt because its rated for 300fttq and im probably at 180tq at best.
SOOO whats the deal here guys? I need suggestions. Does this sound like it could be the wrong pressure plate? Its an idea that accured to me and my brother due to the stock like pedal pressure.

how long have you had the clutch installed? was it broken in properly? this is just a thought, but id look up what a flywheel that light will cause because i heard they have some negative effects. good luck.

Maybe the step-height is wrong on the flywheel. If it's off by .002" it's enough to make it drastically different on the pedal. But before suspecting that, I would check to make sure the slave cylinder isn't pre-loaded. If the clutch master cylinder is adjusted properly, it might not be letting all the pressure off the pressure plate, and your clutch won't fully release. Usually this won't be accompanied by grinding gears, but it can in rare cases.
Get that thing sorted out. I want to see you at Dyno Day.
