Engine Vibrating
I have a '95 Integra, with almost 157K mi. on it. Just yesterday, my engine started vibrating. It does it when I idle, and when I accelerate. I can feel the vibration through the gas pedal, and I can hear it. It's louder than it used to be, and a deeper sound that I can almost feel more than hear. It gets worse up around 80 mph. and I can feel it in my seat, too. Any thoughts?
I'm new to this forum, and I think there's a lot of great stuff here! One other thing I've noticed about my car is that it seems there is probably a leak in my exhaust. Could that cause my engine to vibrate? I really don't know much about cars, yet, but I'm set to learn. I've seached for other posts that may help, but nothing seems quite like my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
check the engine mounts. old rubber breaks downs and coms apart. and if that has happened the engine is riding directly on the chasis so any engine vibration will transfer directly in the chasis.
replacing an engine mount isn't very difficult, get a shop manual and it will explain the process.
