I prefer a turbo myself, but with my budget a used JRSC for $1,500 is the best F/I i might be able to get for my ride. I was wondering if it's worth it since I'd be able to keep my AEM CAI and DC Sports 4-2-1 Header.

no, JRSC is utter and complete garbage...they arent even made by Jackson anymore they just sold the licensing rights to the sub company that makes them now...they are known to leak castor bean oil and burn out, also there customer service is horrible as is their warranty policies....for 1500 bucks you could peice together a pretty damn good kit, sell your header and CAI and you got another couple hundred bucks to throw on top of that.

I wish I could piece my own kit together, the hardest part for me would be engine management for the turbo considering my car is OBD-II.
I was thinking of getting a TD04 from a junkyard Subaru WRX, a spearco intercooler, Tial BOV, some piping & couplings, turbo manifold, all the necessary fittings, hoses, larger fuel injectors and anything else I may need.

for a couple hundred bucks you could always do obd2-obd1 swap....but yeah..I would stay clear of JRSC's they are waaaaay more trouble than they are worth
Haha that's Funny! your gonna rip it up either way. Not worth the effort and if you where really gonna do the tranny up right you would not be asking this question.
