I got an 89 integra, 5 spd, the other day i did plug wires, cap and rotor, car fired right up, I started driving about a mile down the street, came to a red light, car started to kind of sputter as I revved it. As soon as I went to accelerate the car died, would not restart. Is this a sign of bad distributor?

it had always been a little weak on acceleration since I got it aabout a month ago and also failed the CO on the emissions test.
Could I use a civic, crx or other year integra distributor, does the civic motor have to be a 1.6 as well because there are alot of the 1.5 at a junkyard near my house.

check the rotor agian had the same prob
if that dosent work replace distrubitor

 

Coil or igniter...which is in the distributor...or you might have a rotor problem.
