i bought a car yesterday thinking it was gsr with lsd trannie... but it's not instead it's a ls v-tech. My v-tech is not work or i just got str8 up punk!
Does ne one here know how to solve my problems. I think i have b18a1 with si top b16. what to do man... help me doggie please somebody! Oh and another thing that what does it mean when your revs at 4rpm? I ain't going to lie but what the hell is a "tread"

 

Does it have vtec on the valve cover and is there a solenoid on the back left of the valve cover?? You more than likely have no lsd and a ls tranny not a gsr tranny as well. If these things are there then you have vtec it just isnt engaging.

 

if the head is a b16a head, it sounds like you have a ls/vtec, which isn't a bad thing. it has a strong bottom end and good high end.
although might be a problem since you didn't do the work. it could be a pain not knowing all the quirks.
check the oil and make sure there is enough. vtec runs off of oil pressure.
it sucks if you bought a ls thinking it was a gsr. check the title next time.
