Default 96 SE teg, More tranny problems...

I recently had my transmission worked on. Before I took it out of the car, the trans was hard to shift and made tons of noise. I put in a new clutch and the mechanic replaced all the bearings and said that the rest of the trans appeared to be in good shape. After putting the trans back in the car, the noise is gone but unfortunately it is still hard to shift when the engine is running. I'm trying to diagnose whether the problem is internal or external to the transmission.

One thing I thought was unusual is that the wheels would sometimes spin when the clutch pedal was pushed in and the car in gear. Is this normal? I'd assume that nothing would spin if the clutch pedal was pushed in. If there is a problem external to the transmission, I'm guessing it's the master/slave cylinder, what are some good ways to diagnose this? Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the wheels spinning but usually if you are having a hard time getting it into gear it's due to bad syncros.

Try bleeding your hydro system. Same as the brake system. That should help.

Well I let the car get good and hot today and the trans shifted fine. I'm guessing the trans oiled needed to be circulated after the rebuild. I also bled the system and plan on replacing the master cylinder soon.
