Brake System Swap?
I have a 92 Civic Hatch CX. I was wondering if there is a brake system swap I can do on my car. I figure there must be an upgrade brake system swap if you can do engine swaps too. I would appreciate any suggestions or any knowledge you all may know. Thanks.
You can do mostly any brake swap. Just have to find the right parts. Most people swap the 99-00 Civic Si or GSR front and rear brakes onto their Civics.

all integra brakes are the same...gsr isnt special
99-00 em1 si brakes are same as 96-00 ej8 ex (civic abs is same as integra)
all rear disc assemblies are identical (91-01)
With your cx, you have smaller rotors and therfore different knuckles than the ex/si/integra. To take advantage of their setups, you will need a knuckle from one of those cars, matching 10" rotors and then the calipers from whatever hell car you want (since they all share the same knuckle mounting points).
With larger calipers you will want a larger master cylinder and brake booster. Si/ex is 7/8", integra is 15/16 or 1" model depending. Pick one...they all bolt on fine with only a little bending of the lines and perhaps a change in fitting size (if you get one that was abs)

Just by buying the front disks and calipers of a 2000 Civc, I will be upgrading my braking performance? One last thing, are they installed without modifications? Just for the record, my rear brakes are drums, if it makes any difference of some sort.

you can't just throw them on. You have a different hub and you need the front knuckles as stated above. for the rear you need the entire brake assembly, ebrake cables, and rear trailing arms
afterward you will need to get an alignment
