Default Looks Like I'm Finally Gonna Boost...

yup. tonight 2gr84u suggested checking out www.homemadeturbo.com. there, i found a guy selling parts of a turbo kit. as i talked to him, i decided... it's mine $430 shipped is going to get me the following...

"-manifold
-t3 turbo
-flanges
-lines, block fitting
-fmu
-missing link
-downpipe
-6psi wastegate
-2.25" steel pipe with 1st gen dsm bov (blue)"

i know it isn't complete. but two things hooked me... its cheap, and better than the turbo setup i DON'T already have. lol, so hopefully within the next couple months, i'll get it all put together and have it runnin. hoping with a few other mods to get near / past 200 hp. need to get some gauges, uberdata, some piping, clutch & peolly some other lil odds & ends.

You don't NEED a turbo timer, but it is nice. I really think you should look first at some better fuel management than an FMU and missing link.

If you don't yet have exhaust, you will want to look at something a bit larger too.

Your list looks good, but you will also need some larger injectors if you want to get serious with the fuel management.

ok, i figured instead of the turbo timer, i could juss let the car sit for a few minutes brfore i shtu it down. i've got all my exhaust replaced, except the stock pipes. i figured i might go a half inch bigger to relief the extra backpressure.

as far as the FMU and missing link.. .what would you suggest?

stuff you need or should highly consider:
450cc injectors
walbro fuel pump (190 is sufficient)
u need a fitting welded into your oil pan
intercooler
BOV
couplers
boost guage

ditch the missing link and FMU, pick up or chip your ecu for uberdata.

yeah, the injectors i was sure of. where can i find the fuel pump? the fitting is easy, it'd prolyl take me a few minutes to weld it on. FMIC is nex ton the list. BOV comes w/ the kit. couplers should be fairly painless to come across.. and stupid me juss sold a boost gauge 2 weeks ago. need one now.

i have an AEM fuel rail i got last year. is it worth putting on (w/ a FP regulator)? or wil lthe fuel pump be enough?

The AEM rail is pointless. It wouldn't be worth your time to put it on, unless you change the injectors out.
