My 2000 LX has 178k miles and a complete set of maintenance records. I believe it has the original cap and rotor, has the "Honda" stamp. I took off the distributor cap yesterday and it and the rotor still look good. I did lightly sand the contact points of the cap and the rotor with 220 grit sandpaper.

Should I replace the cap and rotor?

If so, can I buy the cap and rotor from the OEM manufacturer for Honda, but without the Honda stamp?

Or do I have to buy the Honda cap and rotor?

My understanding is that many of the aftermarket cap and rotors don't work that well with Hondas.
