Default K20a R swap, what else to get?

I basically decided that i am going to do this swap, i found a good shop and they are going to order me the engine. i have lots of money to blow because i just got settlement on my house and came up big time. i have a 05 civic LX, i have put rims and dropped the car, but now i want performance with this baby. with the K20aR engine, what other mods should i do to the car all at once, i was thinking to get a Greddy cat-back exhaust, V2 intake, either JDM headers or DC....not quite sure....ok, now what else? im planning on spending a total of around 8K, so now with that said, what other mods should i get for the car? and im not planning on turboing. thanks in advance

ITB's would be the last thing i'd put on this car.

why are you wasting your money on a honda? buy a nicer car.

it's not worth it to mod the honda if you have money. thats like winning the lottery and blowing it on fixing your apartment/apartment complex common areas vs buying a house. it's not smart.

for the k series, the greddy exhaust will not be big enough. You need at least 2.5 if not 3 inches. Many of the k20 guys run 3 inch. It depends if you want all out performance or a mixture of low end with a little sacrifice on the top end.

For the header, I would contact www.sixsigmaracing.com and talk to them. they currently build IMO the best K series header on the market, and most are less than 1k, which is amazing price wise for the quality.

I would focus on getting the engine in first. 8k will be enough but barely

8,000$ would go further performance wise if you spent $1,500 of it on a 92-95 hatchback. Get a $700 B18B. Then you have like 5 grand to build and it would anihilate a k20 05 civic. If I had an 05 I deffinetly wouldn't do anything to the engine. But if you are going to spend the money on a K series. I deffienetly wouldn't get a DC header. Get a Hytech or RMF. As for an intake well, they all do the same thing price wise or not.

didnt notice it was an 05, thought i was seeing 95.
if u got the cash i would go with something else like an evo, sti, supra, something with loads of potential that would be reliable. i would get an evo if i had the cash and do some motor work and play hardcore
