Default Car Won't Start ...

Hey guys definitely need your help on this one, I stayed up till 3 last night trying to get my car to run and i need it asap, I gotta work ! ...

situation

I attempted to swap cams yesterday, took everything out, got ready to drop the new cam in than i noticed a crack in the distributor side so i figured it'd be safer just to keep the same cam in, so i put everything back on ...

Turned key, nothing ...

So I think i did something wrong undo everything than re-install everything,

I turned key again nothing ...

I figured there's no spark, So i change the spark plug , Wires & dizzy rotor

I turn key again, nothing ...
So now Im at the point i'm at again, pretty much the rotor when the car is cranked ... So what could be the problem, timing ? One guy told me i may have had a snapped cam but the cam is still fine ... so please help me out guys ... I'm gonna attempt to re-do the timing again but I just wanted some more ideas on what it could be, thanks in advance - justin

That sounds more like you forgot to hook up a battery cable, or maybe the small trigger wire at the starter?

Or... Do you really mean that the starter cranks but the engine never fires?

It would also help if you told us what kind of car. We can't see it from here.

if the car turns over but dosnt start and there is no spark your timing is probably off. check check check than double check than do it all over again. than when you think your timing is right check it one more time. than have a friend do exactly what you did if all your checking = you being on time than put the valve cover back on along with all your other goodies and than start the car.

How do you time a honda? From what I have learned you put your cam 'up' mark up, and line the other 3 lines up to the points, then put your belt back on, then put your distributer back on. Am I missing anything?
