check engine light

i have a 2000 civic with 55000 miles. my idle has been too low and then the check engine light came on. how do i get the codes through the service port? where is the service port located? any help would be greatly appreciated! PLEASE HELP!!!

See the sticky at the top of this forum. It will explain how to check your code.

Basically you use a paper clip to jump the connector, which is under your glove box.
