check engine light

i have a 2000 civic with 55000 miles. my idle has been too low and then the check engine light came on. how do i get the codes through the service port? where is the service port located? any help would be greatly appreciated! PLEASE HELP!!!:(

See the sticky at the top of this forum. It will explain how to check your code.

Basically you use a paper clip to jump the connector, which is under your glove box.
